Quality Controls

Quality Controls are carried out through non-destructive tests (NDT), wich are carried out with high-technology elements handled by highly-qualified operators.

Crane testing and Cargo Gear

We carry out controls of strength on cargo equipment, hoist capacity and quality of cranes and other device instruments to cargo handling as a means to verify its safe way of use, taking into account their constructive features, nature of their materials and endurance limits.

Water-tightness testing for hatch covers

By using an ultrasonic system, we verify that vessel’s hatch covers of the cargoes are perfectly watertight, which avoids cargo degradation, deterioration, damage and its consequent economic loss.

Hydraulic and dielectric testing on hoses and pipelines

Controls of hoses and pipelines are carried out by trials which ensure that these are in perfect condition to fulfill their tasks appropriately, as well as their safety conditions, quality and certification.

Ultrasonic Inspection

Thickness of iron plates and profiles are measured with standard ultrasonic instruments in order to determine their general state and quality, as well as diagnosing and detecting possible flaws.

Gammagraphy

Radiographies are carried out in welded joints so as to detect possible flaws and prevent any future collapse as well as any undesired subsequent effect.

Ink Testing

High-penetration ink is used to detect surface flaws, such as pores or fissures. We also provide certification on parts and devices.

Loading Control

Through loading controls, it is guaranteed that the quality, quantity and transportation of the product are adequate. Likewise, the entries and exits of the cargo are managed by carrying out different types of controls. Among them we can highlight: expert reports, cargo measurements, vacuum certifications, cargo calculations, inspection of tanks and warehouses, pre-shipment inspections and pollution prevention advice, among others.

Dimensional Control Survey

With dimensional control surveying,Senat Marine Service is able to provide clients with “real-time” 3D results in the field.

Utilizing highly accurate total stations and industrial measurement software, our dimensional control surveyors have the experience and expertise to ensure your projects will fit the first time by comparing design dimensions to industry standards and tolerances to verify conformity.

Combustion Gas Analysis

We develop different types of analysis for the control and monitoring of combustion gases in ships, thus guaranteeing the quality of the work environment inside the ship, as well as quantifying the polluting atmospheric emissions that may occur. This activity is carried out in the context of the national and international regulatory framework, applying control standards and parameters dictated by the IMO {International Maritime Organization through ANNEX VI of MARPOL, which establishes guidelines for the prevention of atmospheric pollution caused by ships. To provide solutions to current demands, we have a specialized technical and instrumental team for the detection and quantification of the following combustion gas compounds that are subject to the regulatory regime:

[CO], [CO2], [NOx], [SOx], [H2S], vol % O2, Thum °C, Qa, λ, η

Logistics and
Distribution

Our L&D department supports all operational commitments, provide viable responses to the commercial area, reconcile and syncronize “vessel and plant” realities.

The Logistics and Distribution department is responsible for supporting all operational commitments, possible conflicts between vessel and plant, delays and overstayings in port, and every requirement from our clients to ensure efficient operations both onshore and offshore.
